Dr. Jacque Phillips, Esq.

It sounds simple, send your kid to school, the teacher’s and administrative staff will put forth a great effort and together you unite to form a dream team with your child's best interest in mind.

What happens when a simple concept turns complicated?  When something happens.  Something can range from an incident pertaining to another student, a staff member or what if your child isn’t receiving the services mandated in their IEP or even worse somehow your child has slipped through the cracks and you’re left all alone after untrained professionals determine “something” isn’t related to your child’s disability and they’re expelled from school.

Unlike many Colorado Education Lawyers, I know the strengths and weaknesses of the traditional public-school system. I also have a deep understanding of the growing gap within special education because it’s a space I taught in for many years.  Which is why I offer training to both educators and lawyers.

When “something” happens, in most cases, the odds are against you. Do you really want to leave your child’s future up to chance?  I will fight for the best interest of your child as if they were my own. My goal is to win the battle strategically by finding a common ground to positively impact the future success of your child within the education system.  Whether your child is facing expulsion, or you need help navigating through the IEP system.
